Spirit Guides And Intuitive Friends Visit Dreams

Last night I invited my spirit guides and angels into my dreams.

The dream was familiar.  It was another traveling dream.  I was trying to get to a destination, but meeting changes and roadblocks along the way.

It involved maps and streets, buses, boats and cars, meeting people I don’t know, friends and family members.

It’s no secret that dreaming of trips, going in circles, trying to find locations you’ve never been to before, all add up to transitions, decisions, and life’s journeys.  It’s always interesting to see if the trip was bumpy or smooth, if I felt lost or was directing others, and how far I got.

Last night I ended the dream by actually getting to my destination for the first time.

The destination was a meet-up with my intuitive group, in the grass at a park.

The main person in the group that I depend on in waking life went to consult with my guides and came back looking rueful and sadly shaking his head.  He said,”At this point, she has a twenty percent chance of getting there.”

“There” was something I’d been thinking about all day yesterday.

Where is “there,” anyway?

It’s that tantalizing place that you know exists, but it’s still beyond your grasp.  You’re looking forward to getting there, it feels like destiny, but you can’t quite put your finger on it just yet.

It’s something you know you will do, or become, and even though you might have a big picture sense of what that might be, you don’t know precisely.

When you make a significant change, like I did recently by going back to work, you can spend a few weeks feeling it out before deciding if it feels right, even when you know you were directed there.  Sometimes changes feel correct but not permanent or even long-term.  They feel more like phases.  Phases with a purpose.

Within the change there are often other changes that you know you must make.  Bad habits or routines that don’t serve you can pop up to say,”Here I am!  Deal with me!  Or else.”

Feeling it out is always a good choice.

I’m not worried about odds.  Even if the message was a literal one, and not my subconscious working something out, we can always adjust our plans when we want to arrive somewhere.

There Has To Be A Message Of The Week?

A major message that came through multiple times this week was to be consistent in your energy, no matter what circumstance you find yourself in, and ever mindful when you find yourself veering off track.

Meaning, if you feel calm in the morning after your meditation or exercise, work on carrying that feeling throughout the day.  When you feel anger, aggravation, or frustration popping their head around the corner, be mindful of the sensation and bring yourself back to center as quickly and peacefully as you can while dealing with what arrived, not pushing it down or to the side for another day.  Recognize the moment and take advantage of it.

Laptops and Synchronicity

In the synchronicity department, my laptop had died and I was certain it was out of warranty.  Then my husband’s laptop lost its keyboarding function, which prompted me to look for his receipt to check the warranty dates.  When I found it, it was dated last January, and I realized that my memory was blessedly wrong about my laptop.  I had 19 days left on the one year warranty.  It’s been a few weeks since it’s been broken, and I almost swear my husband’s keyboard went out to make me actually look rather than rely on faulty memory!

The Strangest Manifestations

It was a strange week of odd manifestations, where things happened that made me blink in disbelief.  At work, my last name is the same as my boss.  A colleague has the same name as one of my intuitive friends (first and last, spelled differently).  The flooring is the same as my first house.  The poster is the same as my favorite (obscure) painter.

My husband and I went to dinner with one of his clients.  Sitting nearby was a child in a wheelchair in my direct view and as we were about to leave, a couple who were midgets walked in (my irrational childhood fear).  I felt like signs were parading before me in (almost) a comedy.  I was expecting clown cars momentarily.

It made me think of Poe (again! in fact I know I’ve said all these things before at one time or another but it feels like it’s all coming full circle) – is all that we see or seem but a dream within a dream?

  1. Hi Julie

Are things just a coincident or are they signs to make us think? There were many when I was growing up and still it makes me aware when something similar comes up. I have 3 brothers. The 2 oldest although did not talk about it prior to happening, came home one day with the same kind of car they just bought. White with red, same make only one was a 2 door the other a 4 door. They both only kept them for 6 months. They got married the same year to ladies named Jean both had a daughter the next year only 3 weeks apart. My other brother married later and married a gal named Joyce. We have relatives on my side of the family and my husbands side of the family that have very similar situations and they do not know each other.

Do we feel like we have been here before and it is like a rerun when certain things pop up? I am sure we have many messages that come to us in our dreams, things just for us to know and some may be to act on. Or may be store for later so when we need them it will be there for us to retrieve.

Consistent, yes that is really important and it is so easy to get side-tracked from what we are supposed to do. I am finding projects keep coming up and I do think they are in preparation for the big change coming in the near future.

    • Mary, WOW those are some pretty amazing events!

Some things seem like repetitive themes that keep showing up until we “get it” and then they disappear. Others are downloads of relevant information we can use. Then there are the “deja vu all over again” things that feel more eerie or woo-woo, so designed to grab our attention.

  2. I am the one you’re visiting in your dreams, Julie. Those streets, buses, cars, etc. are all my street. I think we were trying to cross the road to get to that bakery. Truth. I swear.

I have had the dream in a dream experience. It all falls into place. In fact, I have an ongoing dream with people who are familiar, but I haven’t met them in real life. Crazy. Yet, they are comfortable dreams. Strange thing is I even remember the clothes they wear. 😀

Hugs! Glad that warranty period wasn’t over yet! My refrigerator once did that to me – the compressor was on a 5-year warranty and it died just a week before the expiry date. Sigh. How lucky.

    • Vidya, Oh boy could I use a break and a visit to that bakery with you! Glad to know I am going somewhere good in my dreams.

The travels are usually familiar, either because they mention roads I have been on before or because I remember dreaming of that bus depot previously, kind of thing. In one, I just go around the car loop at the kids’ school, but it isn’t their school 🙂 Sometimes I see the place as if it’s drawn like a cartoon and I can see it kind of floating in the air.

I had a recurring dream of a person I did eventually meet who turned out to be a spiritual teacher. It was sometimes more like a waking dream because I would just see people on the street that reminded me of that “type” and when I finally saw his picture on the internet I recognized him and decided to work with him. Strange, no? Maybe yours are people you will eventually meet, too.

  3. Hi Julie,
Great post! I love the fact that the universe is always speaking to us, causing those synchronicities. Just last week I asked my guides for some direction on my path and within a week it was delivered. Via a stranger! I walked away from the conversation thinking “wow that was amazing”.
I had a dream the other night that I am still trying to understand. The evening of the dream I had thought about the ability to physically see spirits, which I do not. I dreamt that night of being in a building and physically seeing spirits/ghosts. My daughter was with me so I left the building and drove away. What is interesting to me is I didn’t sense fear in the dream nor did I wake with a “omg that was scarry” feeling. It was as if I was just needed to remove my daughter. Interesting, right? Thoughts?

Hope the warranty works out for you. My ‘stuff’ usually breaks eight days after the warranty runs out!
    Take Care

    • Hi Julie, I would say probably there is a piece of you that isn’t quite ready to see spirits with your physical eyes. But…you’re opening the door to it. To each her own, I’ll tell you once I saw a shadow person and it scared me silly. I don’t get freaked out by hearing spirit so much anymore but I don’t have the seeing thing down pat just yet 🙂 We are so trained to expect it to be scary but 99 x out of 100 it just isn’t. It’s kind of like being at the mall with a bunch of strangers who are just fine if you expect them to be there. It’s when they are in your living room with you at 2 am that you have to get used to it. For some reason seeing the shadow person in broad daylight just floating 8 feet above the ground was scary – probably because the energy of a shadow person (to me) was eerie and not “normal ghost” = “just a person no longer living.” Anyway, keep asking for help to safely and comfortably see them (from angels) and you may eventually get your wish (if that’s what you want)!

  4. I woke up this morning certain that my dream was reality and then shocked when it wasn’t. Have spent a chunk of this afternoon trying to remember what it was about. Can’t even decide if it was good or bad, but I feel “interesting.”

And “interesting” seems to be going around my circles.

    • Josh, Intriguing! I have no idea what this wacko energy is that’s going around, probably because I haven’t had time to troll around in the astrology world lately. I am sure there’s an explanation. Like parallel universes or something 🙂

  5. Always like reading about dreams Julie, aren’t they fascinating. I too have that journeying dream a lot, but often it’s about not getting where I want to go!

I’ve categorized my dreams into ordinary…just my subconscious going through things that happened, usually three days prior for some strange reason.

Then there’s my ‘important’ dreams that have an entirely different feel to them and deep messages.

Then there’s my lucid dreams…love those…and usually I wake up in the state that I ‘get’ that this world is no different…just a waking ‘dream’.

    • Hi Elle, Well that’s just it, I never know where I am supposed to going, I’m just traveling! Traveling to travel?? Maybe that’s what my problem is 🙂

I have categories, too. Mine are more Ordinary, Visitation, Message/Download, and Lucid (which I don’t care for at all! I always get stuck trying desperately to wake myself up and my eyes are glued shut. I am huge into staying in my body.) Interesting how we all think of things and react differently!

  6. HI Julie – I always welcome those instances of synchronicity into my life – it’s just a good indication to me that I’m supposed to be doing what I’m supposed to be doing. Sort of the universe sending me a subtle or not so subtle message. I’ve been keeping up with your return to work journey and wondering if you feel like you’re exactly where you need to be at work? Especially with signs like the flooring and having similar last name as you, etc:) ? Maybe it’s not so much a manifestation as it is a sign from the universe that you’re exactly where you need to be? A universal nod 🙂

    • Hi Vishnu, That makes sense to me. I feel like there is a bigger reason that I find myself back at the ole day job, not just the obvious like income. Naturally the universe would know that I would find this quite fishy, so rather than have me wandering around saying,”Just what is going on here??” endlessly to self, maybe the synchronicity is just saying,”Yes we know you don’t know why but just trust us, it’s where you are supposed to be right now!” Thank you for following my story – plenty more to come next week!

  7. I love trying to figure out dreams. Doesn’t mean I’m good at it, but getting better. Or perhaps they are changing more to reflect what I am dealing with. I’ve had some doozies that I remember decades later–they are that remarkable at times.
I started paying attention to subtle themes and signs within the dreams. Specific colors, recurring themes (like being lost), lots of metaphors. Then they made sense. Those that are prophetic are “fun” too I guess. I hope one day we can discuss dream themes in more detail, because as long as I can remember, I keep having a dream that I am spinning and twirling on a glassy surface, and slowly rising from the ground as I do, and all this sparkly misty stuff trails behind and around me. I never wanted to be a ballerina, so it incessantly puzzles me.
With all the change going on lately, it’s probably more important than ever to get grounded and strengthened before going about your day, to keep that first energy consistent, as you have said. It really does make a difference. New jobs and new routines really shake things up. But as we can learn new habits in those aspects of our lives, so also can it become natural to observe the yuck when it pops up and slough it off before it sets in.
    Another great post, Julie! Thanks!

  8. I’ve had a few strange dreams over the past week with visitations from people from my childhood. One was an Uncle I hadn’t thought of in years. He looked like he did when I was 5 or 6 years old. There was no particular message he was just in the dream. I rarely ever think of him. Lots of weirdness from my Mother’s side of the family so I don’t give them any of my thoughts while awake. The other was a woman I hadn’t thought off since my tweens. My stepfather’s Uncle’s girlfriend. (Mouthful I know) she was a lovely refined older woman. Always liked her. Her relatives (who I have never met) were in my dream and I was telling them what a nice person she was. Very unusual for either of these two people to appear.
