Tools To Move You Forward In Seeing and Meeting Your Spirit Guides

I am sending this out to you early this week because I looked over my planned posts and decided that what we really need this week is some Fun and Relaxation!

After the recent stresses (taxes!) we need to bring down the tense energy and anxiety and turn it into something positive.  There are some great new things “just out”, and some of them you will have to jump on if you want to participate.

This week you’ve probably seen a program for Guided Meditation promoted all over the place.  I mentioned it last week – The Re-Awakening Guided Meditation program by Angela Artemis.  I promised I would listen to it, find out more, and let you know what I thought.

Here’s something from the workbook that caught my attention:

Guided meditation is meditation that is done while listening to a narrator guide you through
the steps. Guided meditation is also referred to as “creative visualization.” Creative
visualization is a method of meditation using the imagination to bring about positive change in
your life. During creative visualization you “see” with your imagination in the mind’s eye
“scenes” which depict that which you wish to change in your life.

I am usually not a big proponent of Guided meditation, because depending upon who is doing the guiding, sometimes I am right at the “good part” and they start talking again and it throws me off track.

Like, I could be talking to my guides and seeing them plain as day in my mind’s eye, and just as they lean in to whisper something to me (because that’s what they usually do), there comes the voice and there goes the Guide.

Then the obvious crossed my mind:

How many people do I speak to who do NOT connect to their guides at all?

How many people connect to their guides but swear that they cannot see them or feel them?

How many people are just “not sure” that what they got was from their guide team but they would really like to be sure?

So, if you are one of those people, when we do Intuitive Training I usually give you several ways to try, and I always tell you to Practice, Practice, Practice, right?

I get all of the practice I need because I do Intuitive Readings all of the time, so I get a regular chance to hear, see, smell, and/or feel everyone else’s team.  But, what if you are NOT a professional intuitive?  Where’s your chance to practice?  You can beat your head against the wall trying to see, hear or feel your team, and some people never do, without help.

Enter, Guided Meditation.  This is your chance to Practice.  In this program, it’s given to you in small, bite sized pieces, so meditation doesn’t have to take more than 10 minutes at a time.

Each time you do it, you are practicing exactly the skills you need in order to reach out to your team.  Guided Meditation is a great way to practice seeing visuals in your mind’s eye!

There are MANY other reasons to meditate, and if you visit the site they will explain it all to you, including some reasons you probably never thought of (there were some new ones to me).

It doesn’t hurt that the cost is so low, it’s the same as going out to lunch.  I don’t care much for pressing stuff on my Readers, to go buy this or go buy that.  It kind of goes against my grain.  But every once in a while something comes along that I really love, and this is one of them.  If you would like to give it a try, here it is:

The Re-Awakening Guided Meditation

While we are on the subject to places to go and things to do, this week has been FULL of great surprises.  I needed a lift after tackling the taxes!  Good timing!  So here are three more good ideas for you to try out.

Just click on the book to go to Amazon and read the “Look Inside” preview. If you have never heard of The Bloggess, Jenny Lawson, then you must!  She is in my opinion, the funniest person on the face of the Earth.  I have never laughed so hard and so long.  And these days, who doesn’t need a laugh?!  Her book just came out and it is HILARIOUS.  Do yourself a favor and go get it, please.

  1. I still need to try that 10 minute program. Your post is a gentle push to do so. And I love the Bloggess. Can’t wait to read her book!

    • Hi Lindsay,

      The book is fantastic!

I am not sure how much meditation you do or don’t do, but there is a definite place and role for these guided meditations, even for professional intuitives. I listened to Angela doing the “healing” meditation and within 9 minutes I was somewhere else entirely.

  2. Hey Julie,
I would be interested in connecting with my spirit guides. I want to know what they look like, sound like and so on. I wonder if I would listen to them or not though. (stubborn Aries I am).

Being a blogger is all about sharing useful and insightful products and services with your readers. I do it all the time.

I have been heavy into product reviews lately because I feel drawn to it. I love trying new products and or services and sharing it with my readers. Billions of dollars are spent online each year. Just my 2 cents.

    • Hi Justin,

Do you still have the mini-reading I did for you probably about a year ago? I remember your team quite distinctly 🙂 I can dig it out for you probably if you can’t find it.

I am in the editing process with my intuitive development course, so I can really appreciate the time and energy that goes into it. If I find something I love, I want to share it with my readers, too.

    Hi Julie,

I’ve done a guided meditation before for accessing the Akashic records but never really had any success, but then again I wasn’t able to really devote too much time to it. I’ve joined some meetup groups in my area for developing psychic abilities so hopefully I will learn from others in a group setting.

    • Todd,

Let me know what comes of the local groups. I’ve never done them myself. I guess I just “want to be alone” – I find the energy of others very distracting when I am focusing.

I wouldn’t think that you would be successful accessing akashic records without having been assigned a Conduit Guide. Were you trying to access your own records or someone else’s?

        Hi Julie,

I was trying to access my own.

        • Todd,

That is really tough to do. The easiest way to get involved in the process is to read for others (that’s included in my upcoming course)…it’s harder to access your own information because you are emotionally connected and biased. The best way to “read your own records” is to use meditation and learn to keep your mind open and clear, so guidance can come through and you can more easily recognize the signs and synchronicities when they come by. At least, that has been my experience.

  4. Well, first – guided meditations are just tools. And as tools, they do not fit everyone. It’s like the methods I like: affirmations, core images and guided meditations, they fit me and my own growth. But I know people who do not enjoy such tools and they find them useless. With so many “self-growth tools” out there, it’s normal that some tools will fit one person, and be useless for someone else.

From my own experiences, I can assure everyone that guided meditations, when they’ve been carefully prepared, work for real. If you have a chance to try one, go ahead and try it!

  5. Thanks for the info, Julie. When we are truly dedicated to awakening to our unlimitedness, we must find the proper tools to experience that state of being. Knowing thyself is essential to finding what works best for us. I’ve left no stone unturned on my journey of self-discovery and found guided meditations to be a profound learning experience.

    • Hi Rob,

I am working on some guided meditations for my upcoming intuitive development course, as far as attunement to the universal collective, and it really is interesting what results people get from listening to it. The neat thing is that no matter how different the experience, there is one basic piece that happens for everyone. Thanks for coming by 🙂

  6. I enjoyed reading your perspective on guided versus non-guided visualization exercises. Guided visualizations are great for those who need some help with building the picture in their minds. They are just guides and excellent for beginners. Eventually we may find that we have practiced enough not to need them anymore. Also on certain days, guided visualizations can be helpful and on others, we find them we prefer to meditate on our own.

Also thanks for pointing out a bunch of resources. I am going to check them out!
