Skeptics and Naysayers Debunking The Psychic

This Is My "What did you just say to me?" Face - two years old but still valid today

I don’t talk much about what I do here at A Clear Sign to people in my personal life.  They don’t “get it” and they don’t need to.   Does a lawyer have to share details of cases with the family?  When I was an insurance agent and an auditor, I sure didn’t come home talking about my day.

I think most of the other Intuitives who I work with or who read my articles will agree that we operate under the principle of the Golden Rule…do unto others as you would have them do unto you…and that includes not forcing our beliefs onto anyone else.

I’m pretty sure that I heard a collective cringe  at the idea of talking about it with others who aren’t interested or ready to hear it.

Why then is it okay for said people to do a drive by on OUR beliefs?

I’ll give you an example:

A couple of weeks ago a dear friend of the family lost his wife.  She was 34 years old and she had been ill, but the morning she died it was completely expected. I was asked (out of the blue) if I had “heard from her.”

My answer was brief: no and I didn’t expect to.   You would think that would be the end of it, but no.

He kept asking questions and was getting kind of agitated over it.  So I said,“If I did hear from her, would you really want me to give the message to her husband?  How would I explain it to him?  He’s Catholic.  Don’t you think it might upset him more than anything else?”

The argument was that even though she knew she wasn’t going to live too many more years, they did expect years, and so they may have had some unfinished business.  Therefore she might have a message for him.

“Well, she’ll know that you can give him the message, right?”

I don’t know that for sure.  I haven’t seen her for years, they lived in another part of the country, she didn’t know I did this work, and she might not even have a message.  Plus she is in transition right now – she just died.

He was absolutely nonplussed that this would be my response.

He had just spent a week with the husband at the three day viewing and funeral process and he was bathed in the experience.

I asked,“Well, did you ever tell him that I’m a psychic?”

Here was the answer,“Oh hell no!”

OK, I am getting insulted now.  I am supposed to automatically help, it is a foregone conclusion, and yet at the same time what I do is not respected enough to be acknowledged and discussed.  In his mind, there’s something wrong with it.

Somehow the subject morphed into astrology.  I am not an astrologer.  I mentioned that I had just done a reading earlier that day for someone that was almost strictly astrology, and I explained that there was a website that I used that everyone tells me is remarkably accurate and they find very helpful.  His comment?

“So you take someone else’s work and pass it off as your own?”

I know I’m preaching to the choir here, but for those of you who don’t do readings, let me fill you in on a little secret you may not have thought of before.

There is an entire universe full of information that is accessible in answering people’s questions.

Each time we do a reading, it’s in service to others.  Their spiritual team will guide me to getting those answers.

No two readings are alike.  Off the top of my head there are at least twenty different major tools I can use to get it, and some I probably don’t even know about yet.

Each time, I am sent exactly where I need to go.

Does it matter if I am talking to a spirit guide or a dead relative?  Or is it OK if my neighbor gives me the message when I run into him, an animal shows up as a sign, or I find it on the internet through astrology or another psychic’s website or just through Google?

It simultaneously is completely mystical and completely transparent.  The fact that I get information and it is “good” (accurate) means that I am getting it from somewhere that is not obvious to every one of us walking around the planet as living, breathing human beings.  That’s the magic.

How it comes in is not always that obviously magical.

The skill is in putting the pieces of the puzzle together, realizing what belongs to whom, and translating it in such a way that it is useful to the receiving party.  It has to be practical information, guidance, or insight that they can use to have a positive, impactful change in their life that they alone have the power to create.

Let me say it again:

There are no mistakes in the universe.  There.  Are. No. Mistakes. In. The. Universe.

If you get a reading, your team knows about it!  They are ready, willing and able to provide you with exactly what you need at that precise moment in time.

Let me stand on my soapbox for a second regarding intuitive information you are getting.

  • “Accessing Your Intuition” means that every single person on the planet who has ever had an intuitive feeling or hit was communicating with something or someone beyond their own physical body and brain.
  • There is nothing weird about what I do – you do it yourself, every day.
  • Someone or something is providing you with the information.
  • It doesn’t matter if you can see it, smell, it taste it or imagine it – it’s there.
  • If you don’t understand it, it doesn’t invalidate it.  You will get it eventually.
  • If it isn’t what you wanted to hear, sorry but you needed to hear it (maybe because you needed to open your mind).
  • If you can’t answer your 52 side questions it’s because your team isn’t interested in telling you for a variety of reasons.  Accept it and move on.

Call it whatever you want – some people really DO need to hear the information in a particular way.  That’s how they will “get it” and be able to actually make use of it.

I have five different people who are at the exact same place in their life with the exact same mission, let’s say.  Suppose they are identical in every way but one – what will move them forward:

(Person 1) Has to hear it from Uncle Dave.

(Person 2) Has to hear that they have a “soul group” and who is in it.

(Person 3) Has to get fired.

(Person 4) Has to hear that they’ve spent lifetimes as a slave.

(Person 5) Has to have a dog to sit on their lap every night.

There are a whole lot of things that people need to get with the program and start making progress when they feel confuzzled and stuck.

Your team knows what you need to hear and when you need to hear it.  They know who you need to meet and what experiences you need to have in order to live life the way you intend to.  They are working like crazy to deliver the information you need, to arrange things, to help you.

Will my friend’s wife pay me a visit?  I have no idea.  If she does, here I am.  My job will be to deliver that information to her husband in such a way that it is Helpful and can be Received and Heard.  Period.  I will be guided (informed) of exactly how to do it.

If you could see the written readings I produce and hear some of the conversations I  have, you would wonder,”How could this be coming from the same person?”  Each one is information sent through me not to me.  I am just the conduit.  As Are You.

I know, I know, it’s not Thursday.  But someone, somewhere needed to see it.  (And it’s not the guy who was asking the questions.  I’m looking right at him and he’s not the least bit interested.)
