It Must Be A Sign Of The Impending Apocalypse Or Maybe The Plagues Triggering The Exodus

Who knew they could fly - they're at least 4 feet tall!

Some bizarre things have been manifesting around here lately.

One day I was chatting with a girlfriend on the phone about her separation, when I had to excuse myself because there was a snake in my house!

I had noticed that the cat was pawing at something under the pool table.  Then the dog joined her.  This would be the dog that has no sense and always leaps off the leash at the first sign of a snake.

Then I saw it wriggle.  It was skinny and very long – a mere baby.  So I got out the broom and let it wriggle its way out the back door, where it laid for a few minutes looking rather dead before it composed itself and disappeared.

My four year old started insisting in all honesty that his name started with S (it ends in S) and seemed to have forgotten the alphabet song.

I almost had a heart attack when out of the peaceful morning quiet a cacophany of Sandhill Cranes took flight and sat at the top of my trees (I really didn’t think they could fly – they are HUGE).

Ants invaded my house.  Granted, it wasn’t like last year when we had fire ants in the pantry.  Still, there are miniscule ants in every conceivable place in the house, to the point where I imagine that there must be a gigantic nest of them somehow underneath the property, simply growing mightier by the day.

My credit card information was stolen months ago at a gas station and no matter how many times I try to tell the credit card company which charges were mine, they keep insisting they are fraudulent and they are crediting my account, but they don’t.

I ordered some things from Amazon and an additional item arrived – a huge power tool I didn’t order marked as a sleeping bag that I did.  I got the sleeping bag, too.

Taken individually, none of these seems like much, but day after day it seems it’s something new.

The other day, quite by accident, I ran into someone who has her children at the school I am having my second grader son apply for.  Now, my son has an actual need that public school may not be able to meet, and this may be the only school that can.  However, tuition and so forth is nearly $20,000 a year, every year, for the next six years.  Still, I applied anyway thinking that if he is meant to go there, the universe may conspire to see it come to fruition.  And a reference from an influential person may help.

When my son was off visiting the school for the day on a whim I kept my Ghost Radar turned on all day.  I’m not sure what made me do it.  It’s like a little divine inspiration.  In the back of my mind I thought maybe it would kind of keep tabs on him. Now this was just a passing, silly thought – but when I saw what started to come in, I was pretty sure it actually reflected what he was doing. When he came home I asked him to read it over, and he said,”Mom how did you know we were learning about the Presidents and that this happened and that that happened??” Mom’s intuition, I guess.

There are quite a few more things that have happened recently that I won’t go into here, but suffice to say that the world around us both the seen and the unseen, seems to be meshing and interacting more than ever.  Signs abound.

What really unusual things have been manifesting for you lately?

  1. Ah yes. Very wise to pay attention, Julie. The universe is always sending us Green, Yellow & Red alerts. We receive all the support we will ever need to succeed when we awaken to guiding signals flashing to help us. Our essence has answers. It is wise to tune into the answers he intuitive self offers. When I give myself permission to receive the guiding signals life offers, thing become clear and effective action can take place

    • Rob,

It is a very subtle business sometimes, reading the signs. In this case though they sent me ants, a snake, an egret slamming into my windshield, and finally the Flight of The Sandhill Cranes (who at most will talk to you but basically they wander about silently and aimlessly in the roads). So…deconstruct that one! It’s still a mystery to me 🙂

  2. Wow a snake in your house? I couldn’t picture myself what i would do if a snake was in my home. I’m really scarred of snakes, I’ve got a very serious phobia.

  3. I had no idea Sandhill Cranes could fly! As someone who is terrified of pigeons (I call them rats with wings), seeing that overhead would make me pee my pants!

I can’t seem to figure out how all of these signs you’re getting are connected! Do you have an animal totem book you could reference?

I’m surprised at how that Ghost Radar app works for you. I got frustrated with mine – seemed to be gibberish. Maybe I should turn it back on and see what I get.

    • Lindsay,

I swear, it was the oddest thing with the cranes. I have been looking at them for almost 7 years here and I have NEVER seen a reaction like that. Maybe there was something in the woods that scared them. Certainly the dogs reacted (but I think that was just to the incredibly loud noise the birds made!) Yes I could look all of this up as a totem thing (I did look up the one that hit my windshield) but I think the message, which is increasing in intensity, must be something like,”Pay attention!! Get off your butt!! Move!!” except – I have no idea toward what! Boy it would be nice to really understand all of the messages, wouldn’t it?

I usually get gibberish from Ghost Radar and I almost never use it. Every once in a while I’ll turn it on, specify who I am asking, and then ask a question. Usually I do this to pass the time on my long drives getting the kids to/from school. I almost never get anything that makes any sense (generally the next song that comes on the radio is the answer, instead). However on this day it was like I didn’t consciously think about turning it on – my hand just kind of did it without engagement from my brain – and I knew immediately it was guided and purposefully done so I could keep track of him – before I even really realized I was a little apprehensive about his visit there.

    Hi Julie,

You always seem to have something strange going on at your house. My little girl (age 2) was pointing at the wall the other night and kept saying “cousin.” I’m not sure how she even knew the word cousin or let alone who she was seeing, but it was definitively cool.

    • Todd,

Now that’s interesting, because when my youngest (the tuned in one) was about 18 months or so he kept pointing at the walls and seemed to be communicating with something/someone there. However, it seemed to upset and scare him, unlike most other things he communicated with which seemed to make him happy. In light of the whole “portal” thing, I don’t know what the heck was there (this was way before I started truly practicing myself). So I’ll bet ya that your daughter is indeed communicating with a cousin – anyone you would identify as her or your (or your wife’s) cousin who has passed?

      • Todd | Channelingmyself says:

        Hi Julie,

My wife and I both have cousins that have crossed over. I have recently been talking to my cousin trying to establish communication so perhaps he is visiting and my daughter can see him. I tried showing her a picture of him to see if she would say “cousin” but she just got shy and looked at the photo.

        • Todd,

Oh, that HAS to be it, don’t you think so? Maybe leave out photos of all of the cousins and see if she takes an interest in one of them on her own and talks to you or your wife about it?

    Hi Julie,

My life has been pretty mundane lately. If anything out of the ordinary happened, it would probably register as red flashing lights on my radar. But then again, being the compulsive freak that I am, I always divine daily, weekly, monthly and yearly so I am rather hard to surprise. Although this is not impossible since I could be looking in the wrong direction when something happens haha!

In any case, smooth sailing events makes me jittery. It is so easy to become lax and complacent when there is no adversity to keep you on your toes. But it is good to have balance. I won’t want to have to deal with great difficulty on a constant basis either.

Thank you for sharing this lovely article!

    • Hi Irving,

Well it has been nothing but clanging and banging around here for oh…a few years? More if look at it from a different perspective. I had decades of a fairly predictable life with your average ups and downs before that, so this has felt very much like a roller coaster ride. It does feel very much like things are all coming to a head. How they will turn out – who knows? I should be so confident as you with your divination process! LOL on “looking in the wrong direction” – one never knows, does one?

  6. Jack@TheJackB says:

I don’t know how to describe what is happening. My dreams have been vivid, but I wake up and can’t quite remember them,

I have a fairly constant feeling that something is going on and I should pay attention and that I really need to write.

So I am trying to do that. Doing my best to keep my eyes open and the words flowing. We’ll see where it leads.

    • Jack,

I still feel the main thing for you is to write your first book.

That does not mean everything will flow beautifully between now and then, but one can hope and work on it!

Your musical selection has been too uncanny to be coincidence. You are probably just feeling the effects of being more plugged in than usual.

      • Jack@TheJackB says:

I work on the book every day. One of the reasons I keep listing songs is because they keep showing up in my head so I figure that if I put them down on paper I might gain a little insight, or at least I hope to.

  7. kdivasilver says:

Julie, remember you wrote about the shift that was mid-February–these may all be manifestations of that shift. I did a quick and very unscientific skim of the totems because I was curious. Snake: symbol of transformation and healing. Ants: patience, order, discipline. Sand crane: on the wing, a good omen; spiritual ability to enter a higher state of consciousness. The credit card sending you fortunes you don’t seek or need. Chaos masking the building of a new paradigm. But your comment–“In this case though they sent me ants, a snake, an egret slamming into my windshield, and finally the Flight of The Sandhill Cranes”–also reminds me of an allegory where a man is in a house that’s flooding. A firefighter comes to the door to take him out, and the man says, No, the Lord will take care of me. The water is up to the 2nd story; a row boat goes by and offers a rescue, but he says, No the Lord will rescue me. As the water reaches the roof, a helicopter flies over and calls down to him to pull him up, but he replies, No the Lord will save me. He drowns. He confronts the Lord, asking why he wasn’t saved. The Lord replies, I sent you a firefighter, a row boat, and a helicopter. So maybe all these are saying look to yourself and all you have within you. With those properties, you’re pretty formidable!

    • Hi Kathleen,

      That’s some research you did!

Well ether way, if we at least find out soon, that would be nice 🙂

I am pretty sure that I’m not the guy who was sent all the help and missed it, because many other things have come along to show me what’s going on. Sometimes, minute by minute! If I were any more plugged in, I’m not sure I would be ready for it, although that’s mot exactly up to me completely. I guess those things happen when the time is right, and there have been lots of shifts and bumps up lately.

I do think this may be the case of simply being shown only one next step at a time – which is common – rather than the outcome. Sort of like feeling around in the dark and keeping the faith. It is a little on the frustrating side that many things have dragged on for so long, but perhaps part of the lesson is patience. I never used to be known for my patience, but now it is something I have to live with all of the time, so there’s that.

  8. Hi Julie, Hi Guys!
Last spring when I was moving towards a courageous move on my part, to self-publish my book to Kindle, a crane landed in my back yard. I felt it was a message of courage. It was magical. Today I was leaving the grocery store, thinking thinking thinking all morning about my friend who died two days ago, and suddenly the PA belted out the chorus of “I’m walking on sunshine..and I’m starting to feel good!” it felt like a message from her.
I’m paying attention. Things are moving so fast lately that I feel grateful for quiet time. And I hang on tight.
    Lori
P.S. “Ghost radar” – I like it! Have you done a post saying more about this?
Lori Gosselin recently posted..How Do You Deal With Life’s Lemons? My Profile

    • Lori! You made it – welcome 🙂

Yes, I do have a post on the Ghost Radar. It is here

It sounds like you are very plugged in to your own intuitive hits, which is a great way to live 🙂

  9. Hi Julie,

Yeah just the snake would have been enough to make me pack and move.

I am terrified of them – small, harmless… who cares… I am not sure where it comes from since I have never had any particularly ‘bad’ snake experiences that I can re-call. Maybe a previous life one that I have well and truly buried away?

What’s ironic is that I live in a country where ten of the world’s most deadliest snakes reside… go figure… what you focus on and all that huh? Needless to say I stick to well beaten paths and cities.

Can’t say I have experienced any unusual things manifesting recently however I think you might be getting more than your fair share of late. It’s all a clear sign….meaning what exactly? Things are on the move!

    • Marcus,

Forgive me, but that is hilarious! Well, when I agreed to move to the country with my husband, I had to accept certain things that I otherwise wouldn’t. We’re only 10 minutes from some civilization but we do live on a wooded property and there are all kinds of…things. They do seem to stare at you in the dark of the night 🙂 At the moment it is late afternoon and already I have owls hooting at me and soon the foxes will be fighting. Or at least it sounds like that’s what they are doing! You’ve inspired me, I should write a post about “things we accept when we agree to share a life with someone else” except I can’t for the life of me think of a way to tie that into spirituality. Ahem.

  10. I don’t think that every accidents or unusual things should be analyzed as a sign of an apocalypse, but the things you’ve described seems to be really supernatural.

  11. That is an impressive list of unusual happenings! The snake for sure tops the list, although the cranes must have been the most impressive. Can’t say that anything like that is manifesting in my life at this moment, but my radar is on!
