Some bizarre things have been manifesting around here lately.
One day I was chatting with a girlfriend on the phone about her separation, when I had to excuse myself because there was a snake in my house!
I had noticed that the cat was pawing at something under the pool table. Then the dog joined her. This would be the dog that has no sense and always leaps off the leash at the first sign of a snake.
Then I saw it wriggle. It was skinny and very long – a mere baby. So I got out the broom and let it wriggle its way out the back door, where it laid for a few minutes looking rather dead before it composed itself and disappeared.
My four year old started insisting in all honesty that his name started with S (it ends in S) and seemed to have forgotten the alphabet song.
I almost had a heart attack when out of the peaceful morning quiet a cacophany of Sandhill Cranes took flight and sat at the top of my trees (I really didn’t think they could fly – they are HUGE).
Ants invaded my house. Granted, it wasn’t like last year when we had fire ants in the pantry. Still, there are miniscule ants in every conceivable place in the house, to the point where I imagine that there must be a gigantic nest of them somehow underneath the property, simply growing mightier by the day.
My credit card information was stolen months ago at a gas station and no matter how many times I try to tell the credit card company which charges were mine, they keep insisting they are fraudulent and they are crediting my account, but they don’t.
I ordered some things from Amazon and an additional item arrived – a huge power tool I didn’t order marked as a sleeping bag that I did. I got the sleeping bag, too.
Taken individually, none of these seems like much, but day after day it seems it’s something new.
The other day, quite by accident, I ran into someone who has her children at the school I am having my second grader son apply for. Now, my son has an actual need that public school may not be able to meet, and this may be the only school that can. However, tuition and so forth is nearly $20,000 a year, every year, for the next six years. Still, I applied anyway thinking that if he is meant to go there, the universe may conspire to see it come to fruition. And a reference from an influential person may help.
When my son was off visiting the school for the day on a whim I kept my Ghost Radar turned on all day. I’m not sure what made me do it. It’s like a little divine inspiration. In the back of my mind I thought maybe it would kind of keep tabs on him. Now this was just a passing, silly thought – but when I saw what started to come in, I was pretty sure it actually reflected what he was doing. When he came home I asked him to read it over, and he said,”Mom how did you know we were learning about the Presidents and that this happened and that that happened??” Mom’s intuition, I guess.
There are quite a few more things that have happened recently that I won’t go into here, but suffice to say that the world around us both the seen and the unseen, seems to be meshing and interacting more than ever. Signs abound.
What really unusual things have been manifesting for you lately?
