Signs and Symbols of Synchronicity Or, There Are No Coincidences

When you find yourself saying,”What a coincidence!”, stop.  There are no coincidences.

Pay attention to what you were thinking about or doing when you experienced that moment.

What have you recently been asking for guidance about, and how might it relate to the coincidence?

Many people are working on getting in touch with their Higher Self, Spirit Guides, and Personal Guardian Angels.  They try meditation, books, courses, and download free offerings from blogs which promise to connect them.  What they DON’T tend to do is get out of their heads and into observing their daily reality.

Sometimes the more advanced you are on your spiritual path the LESS likely you are to look around you in the here and now.

Ring My Bell – Anyway, Anytime, Anywhere

Remember this disco song by Anita Ward?   It’s been ringing in my head for two days, and since I know I can’t take it literally, let’s go the metaphorical route.

When you’re spinning in confusion sometimes you flat out become unobservant and miss the obvious.  Recently I became completely irritated with myself for not following my own advice and taking a step back to observe my reality.  This is where journal keeping would come in handy, if only I made the time.  Since I haven’t been doing that lately I had to rely on my (ahem) memory.

I felt like the famous Buddhist saying:

Let us rise up and be thankful, for if we didn’t learn a lot today, at least we learned a little, and if we didn’t learn a little, at least we didn’t get sick, and if we got sick, at least we didn’t die; so, let us all be thankful.

I did a mental walk through the last few days and felt like someone should have hit me over the head with an anvil a la Wile Coyote.  The signs were everywhere and I do mean everywhere.  Things HAD been happening.  I was so stuck in my own little ball of confusion that I hadn’t stopped to absorb anything.  My guides say that has been happening to some of you, too – hence, this post.

Recognizing Signs – Burger King, Push Button Cars and Reverend Horton Heat

I was working at a soul sucking job that paid really, really well.  The name of the game at this agency was gossip and backstabbing.  I could not have been unhappier.  People tell you that all you have to do is a great job exceeding your employer’s expectations and you’ll be fine.  They lie.  Or are really, really naive.

I found myself rushing through the drive through at Burger King one lunch time and right in front of me was a white Plymouth push button car, exactly like the one my Grandmother used to drive when I was a kid.  On the back window was a Reverend Horton Heat sticker, which is completely incongruous with the car and also a fairly obscure favorite band of one of my closest friends.

Message: remember who you are and don’t allow life to slide by mistreating your body and killing your soul for the sake of some stupid job that pays the bills.

Recognizing Symbols – Number Sequences Are Messages From The Angels

I was tooling around town and saw a window sticker that said 26.2.  Twice in one day.  I thought it might mean a marathon so I went home and googled it and found out that’s exactly what it was.  I dismissed it as a sign for me – it was just a popular new bumper sticker.

Later that day I went to the doctor and got an order for my annual blood work and guess what the medical code was?  Sure enough, 262.  Your Team won’t stop when you dismiss their attempts to get a message across.

I referred to Doreen Virtue’s angel numbers and the meaning of 262 is “A new purchase or acquisition is coming your way.”  I am actually in the process of selling things, big things like houses and properties, and am not knowingly in the market for acquiring anything.  I’ll keep you posted on any manifestations on that one.

Ask Your Guides For A Song

Everyone knows that one of the best ways to raise your vibration is to belt out a song at the top of your lungs.  I’ve mentioned this before, but one of the easiest ways for you to communicate with your Guides when you’re stuck and can’t decide on a course of action is to ask them to send you a message through the next song that comes on the radio.  You don’t always have to go into meditation and make a big production out of it.  Really.  Remember they are with you all of the time and you don’t always have to call a board meeting to get answers.  Sometimes you just need to ask for direct help for your next best step.

For example this morning I was driving my son to school and thinking about which of my many urgent projects I should work on today.  There are a crate of business projects with 50 different paths to take or a really dirty house to attend to which I’ve been shoving aside in favor of dealing with the business.  So I asked for a song for my next best step for today and the Yes song “Leave It” came on.  See you business, it’ll be a Mrs. Meyers kind of day.
